a good start to the new taskmaster season - the five contestants are jo brand, katy wix, david baddiel, ed gamble and rose matafeo.

the only person im not familiar with is katy wix - but this was a good opening episode

the contestants had great banter- and greg has definitely been more in keeping with accurately keeping scores and being a little more rational and level headed with the whole role (aka no ass pulling against younger contestants)

i really enjoyed the popsicle task, and 100% am obsessed with david baddiel.

really looking forward to the rest of this season - even though nothing will ever top my season of favorites - but loving the amount of women as well.

i didn't watch a heap of these shows while they were airing but instead made an extra effort to clean up and catch up on some of the ones i didn't get a chance to check out while i was busy being fucking ill, but ended up finding some really fun watches.  Akuyaku Reijou Level 99: Watashi wa Ura-Boss desu ga Maou dewa Arimasen I've definitely been on the villainess train for a while, but this is another fun show - especially with the adjustments they made to the original source material to make it feel more cohesive. Having a really no nonsense protagonist who gives no fucks being female is extremely fun, and I found myself really enjoying this the more it went on. I liked it enough to peer into the LN but I found it a little too dense to really keep going with it, but from the r/anime comments, it seems that they did a lot in the anime to try to mend the bonds between yumelia and the heroine/trio which helps a lot in making it feel a little more cozy and fun as an all aroun...

My top 11 are underscored, but the rest are still highly recommended!  serious stuff Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai/Ano Hana (2011) probably best known, and glorified as one of the Biggest Tear Jerkers, I watched this when it first came out (bloody 2011) and literally never quite got over it. Full disclosure, I did actually end up skipping about 4 episodes in the middle chunk because i just never quite had time to finish it but if you just watch the last few episodes it really beats tears out of your face and that’s all you’re really in for. However, let it be said that this is VITAL to an anime watching experience. Mari Okada has a lot of shows but this is probably her Magnum Opus - so it’s definitely worth a watch. And by extension you’ll have seen every other show she’s made too, because every other show just emotionally stems from this. Well worth the watch. antoine style potato blinis recipe

i love blinis - and my favorites are from a french restaurant called antoine's. it moved recently, but they've always had the best caviar and potato blinis combo. You've probably heard of the normal blinis (the pancake type), but today i've got a little twist on the potato blini to get that more luxurious, rich, french blini taste.  I originally worked off this recipe: https://scratchinit.halversen.com/2016/01/yukon-gold-potato-blini/ which is iconic, and super helpful, with a few amendments that worked well for me. credit where it's due.  Few notes - you can pretty much use any potato for this that's like, relatively good for mashed potato.  Ingredients:  3-4 medium potatoes, around 450-500 grams.  25-30 g unbleached flour.
